Top 5 Tips on how I cleared my problem skin
In my opinion, the best primer you will ever own is your skincare routine.
It can be so hard to actually figure out what is right for your skin. I myself have had hundreds of skin care products that I've used for a week and never touched again!
Here you'll find my top 5 tips for transforming your skin. I was a serial skin offender, so if I can do it, so can you!!
1:- Persistence. You are not going to see any results over night, so you have to keep at it. It will take a while to show but it will show. You WILL get a breakout whilst your skin draws out the impurities, but it will be worth it.
2:- Break up with breaks outs
Stop picking them. Stop popping them. Stop rubbing your finger over them in attempt to judge the size of them whilst not near a mirror.
BUT if you absolutely have to pop your spots - do it in the best way possible.

You will probably find when you first start a new or persistent skin care routine that your skin will come out in a few spots or blemishes. This is often where people will stop using something as you may think it's caused but the products you're using, but 9 times out of 10 it will be your skin pulling out all the bad stuff that lies under your skin. You've opened your pores up so they are "clearing out" any gunk. And as temping as it is, you have to leave them. I love squeezing spots, it's some of sick habit I have developed, I get actual pleasure out of it (am I alone here?), but I have found the best thing to do is to wash your face as normal, apply tea tree oil to the affected area and keep doing so until the spot is on the brink of popping. If you really can't leave it, now is the time to do it, you've drawn it so close to the surface that you reduce the risk of tearing the skin. A gentle squeeze either side and it should pop right away. Drain the goo, wash it, re apply the tea tree and leave it. No more touching. If it DOESN'T pop immediately, it's not ready, so walk away.
3- Take your makeup off every night.
And even if you didn't wear any makeup that day. Remove the day from your face! I often have days where I won't actually apply any make up, but I still make sure I do the whole routine every night. I wash away the days oil and grease and to to bed with a totally clean face every single night. I swear by it. I do the same thing morning and night, which is cleanse, tone and moisturise. Even oily skin needs moisturizing, so find a compatible one for your skin (oil free, non emollient) and you'll find your skin produces less oil.
4- Wash your make up tools.
This includes anything you use to wash your face. Everything needs to be clean before it touches your face. I wash my make up brushes once a week, with olive oil and washing up liquid, rinsing with water. I rinse my beauty blender every day with warm water.

5- Exfoliation.
This is something I rely on, I suffer from blackheads and flaky skin if I let my routine slip, so it's important for me to do a gentle exfoliation (One suitable for every day use such as Clean & Clear Blackhead Clearing Scrub) every other day and a deeper, harsher exfoliant maybe once a week. I use the Lush Cosmetics Dark Angels which I blogged about a few days ago.
Now I WISH I had done a before and after! Sadly. I did not. But you can see that my skin is clear and I can say I have much better complexion, more even skin tone and smooth skin.
It's done wonders for applying my make up.
