Anxiety Combat!
If you suffer with anxiety, depression, or a combination of the two, you know how crushing it can be.
I've had anxiety for many years, but only over the last 5 years or so have I suffered from severe panic attacks and bouts of depression.
For me, one of the hardest things to deal with, is trying to explain how you feel to someone who doesn't know what it's like. I've always said if you haven't ever suffered you will not be able to fully understand (not taking anything away from people who try and are compassionate). I certainly didn't understand how physically debilitating depression could be before I ever had it myself.
I have set myself a task to deal with my anxiety better. I think I often let it take over. My boyfriend is very understanding, but it has interfered heavily with work life and other aspects of my life.
I saw this online (Twitter @AnxietyUnited) and it seemed like a good idea. I will certainly try it out!! (pictured - The Coping Toolbox).
I have decided to experiment with a few different ideas and keep you guys up to date on what I find helps or what may make things worse. I would really love to hear from you guys if you suffer from anxiety or depression and have any ideas or suggestions for what helps you that I should try?
I have refused medication recently due to a previous bad experience. I'm adamant I can combat this without drugs!
Also if you would be interested in hearing my journey let me know, I am always happy to share my experiences if it will help at least one other person!!
Follow me on Twitter @4theblonde and i'll be launching my Youtube channel very shortly!
This post is dedicated to my friend Matthew Dunham who we lost to suicide two years ago in May.
