Revlon Brow Fantasy- Pencil and Gel
RANTorRAVE
I have used brow pencils, brow powders, brow gels, brow tinting, just about everything I can try in an attempt to actually be happy with my brows!!
As a blonde, it's quite tough to find a good colour match, and even tougher to get a nice defined brow without looking too dark compared to our hair!
I LOVE dark, bold brows and would love to have dark hair just for the brow power!
But good brows can be achieved whatever the colour. You just need the right tools and the right know how.
I steered away from pencils for a while because I visited a Benefit counter and they basically slapped my wrist when I told them I pencilled and booked me in straight away for a 'lesson'! I didn't enjoy the lesson as it was just a push to buy their brow kit and I personally didn't get on well with it. It was good for filling in (I have chicken pox scars on my brows :-( ... ) but it didn't offer me a really defined line that I was after.
After trying a few different pencils, I picked this up on a total impulse buy. I have been using it for about three months, but haven't settled on it being my go to product.
It was £6.99 from Boots and has a pencil one side, gel the other. It only comes in three colours so you're limited for choice. There is only for lighter hair and absolutely nothing if you have red/auburn hair!
The light pencil is still brown. but light. It's a soft pencil and does need sharpening between pretty much every use. I can get a crisp, clean line with it, but that can be compromised once you apply the gel. I try to apply it very lightly, but the colour makes it look a little 'muddy' and has a slightly yellow/orangey tone in natural light.
I have got on ok with it in general, for day to day use, but I don't think I will repurchase. It's just OK and nothing to really rave about. I am still in the market for something that will really give my brows some definition, I think colour match is the hardest part in all honesty.
I think if you have thick, dark brows, this could be perfect. All in all I do actually really like it, it's just not suited to me.
Have you tried this? What do you think? Or even better, if you're a blonde, what do you use?! I need to know!!

I personally love the benefit brow kit but I'm comfortable getting the look I like using a powder and a mascara wand- practice makes perfect eventually....I do like the revlon gel but find the pencils are red undertoned and i can't use them :(.
