RANT or RAVE - MUA Velvet Lip Lacquer

On MUAs 5th Birthday, I went and checked out their range at Superdrug. I haven't seen anything from them lately on posts so went to browse. I found a few things that caught my eye, everything is so so reasonably priced.

I got a peach tone blush, which I have been after for a while. I mainly only ever use pinks but it doesn't suit everything! I got the 5th Birthday LTD edition eye palette (have a blog post on this), and this pink shade lippy for £3.00.

When I swatched this on my hand in store. it was very pink. I don't usually wear pink lippys, i'm more into reds and oranges, but I liked this.

As you can see from the (bad) pic, it's more cranberry coloured when applied. I like it. It was easy to apply and it does mattify instantly. It does feel dry, some matte products are a bit hit and miss with this, I hate the 'tight' feeling you get with some mattes but this is ok after you've moved your mouth around a little.

I didn't have Perry around for the kiss test, so I kissed the back of my hand and I haven't included a picture just because it was completely clear and it seemed pointless! You can lick you lips loads and it doesn't budge.

It comes off well with make up remover but not with water.

All in all i'm happy and impressed, I may look into the other shades. My Superdrug didn't have them all and it didn't list what the others were so I need to check!

I do however have one criticism, although this is brand new, it's in stores already so it should be on their website and it isn't. (At time of writing) - I searched for it and looked in the new release section and not there. Very annoying!
