Skin Care Routine Ft £1.00 cleansing Sponge!

Over the last few months, I've grown to be more conscious about my skin and skin care routine. I guess it was part of my quarter life crises! I have been quite down because I have scarring where I've always had blackheads and didn't listen to my mother ages 18-24 ! 

Now though, I am super strict. Removing every particle of makeup before bed and sticking to my skin care routine like it's a religion. I do everything I can to make sure my skin is at it's best. It was this years new years resolution to work hard at it. It has paid off, and I have had people comment on how my skin has cleared up which is always great to hear, especially when completely unprompted!

My routine consists of make up removal wipes (because putting cotton wool near my eye makes me cringe), then a T Zone tea tree wipe, which gets rid of any that the other wipe may have missed! I then go in with a cleansing water (Simple Micellar Water) an a porous cleansing sponge. These are fantastic. I never even knew about them until me and my friend Jess were in Primark and she pointed them out. There were 2 in a pack for £1.00. You wet them, they swell up and you just use them in place of cotton wool to cleanse with. Because of their texture, they are slightly exfoliating, I always feel like my skin is really clean afterwards and that you can really shift the dirt out of your pores. This has helped me prevent blackheads massively. They are the actual devil. Those and lipgloss (I think they may be a partnership).

I have ordered a load more from eBay and they last a while as  you can clean them easily, but after a few weeks of using the same one you can notice they're slightly less abrasive and lose their 'bounce'. I finish my routine afterwards with an oil free moisturiser.

I exfoliate 2/3 times a week with the Lush Dark Angels or Clean Clear Blackhead Daily Scrub.

I love these little pads and they are so cheap and effective. I can't imagine my skincare routine without them now!
