W7 Power Puff VS Real Techniques Sponge

W7 Power Puff VS Real Techniques Sponge

Hopefully you will remember that I reviewed the Real Techniques ( http://4theblonde.blogspot.co.uk/2015/04/beauty-blender-dupe.html ). I saw the W7 sponge and being a massive fan of their products already I decided to try it.

This was a mega bargain buy for me, I grabbed this for £2.50 at T K Maxx (RRP £5.00). It works much the same way as any other sponge of this type, you wet it and it pretty much doubles in size. I did end up using more product the first time but thats normally the case with sponges. You need to 'season' them a bit. It works well, but the coverage you get is less than that of the Beauty Blender or the Real Techniques sponge.  It's good for a quick, easy, day to day look.

For the price you can't really go wrong, but it's certainly not what I would use for a more flawless, perfected look. If I was being photographed or on a night out, I would stick to the BB or RT sponges.

I found it harder to blend and it took longer. It seemed blotchy and patchy the first time but that has since improved.
Considering the RT sponge is £5.99 I think I will stick with it. I prefer it all over really but the W7 Sponge is something I still use daily just so I am getting some use out of it.

Which sponge do you use? Or do you prefer a brush? I still dabble with a brush and I use a brush to blend my powder contour.
Let me know!!
