Primer Battle!!

 Primer - GOSH and MUA

So many primers, only one face. I have only just got into using primers over the last few months, I never bothered before but I have made massive improvements to my skin so started using primer as a barrier.

These two are drug store brands and inexpensive, so I thought I would review them for you! I wanted to try out some cheaper brands while I was experimenting, in the hope to invest once I know what I want out of a primer.

I'll start with the GOSH, I actually won this in a Twitter comp, but I've checked and it's £11.99 in stores. (Superdrug).

The first time I used it I was unimpressed. I didn't notice a difference and it just felt like another thing to put on my face! However, I'm not sure it's improvements to my skin routine, or just that it gets better after a few uses, but it does work well for me now. I squirt a large pea size amount onto my finger tips and rub in to my face using circular motions. I leave it to "set" while I do my eye make up and I think it may be the leaving it to dry a bit that's the trick. I didn't use to do this I used to use it directly before foundation.
It's white in colour when I comes out of the tube, it's silky and disappears into the skin, you can't feel it's there.
I does make my skin feel very soft and is a great canvas, I wouldn't however both using this if I was going bare faced. I don't think it makes any difference that way.
The next one that I have is the MUA, also Superdrug and this was only £4.00, I think the packaging on this is far nicer than the GOSH, and looks pricier than it actually is.
It feels slightly oilier when it first comes out of the tube, but it's clear and has no smell to it at all. I think once you've added to to your skin, you could think you needed to apply more because it melts away so quickly. You wouldn't need any product though, it feels fantastic and so soft and smooth on the skin. This is definitely one I would wear if I wasn't wearing makeup. Really impressed with the staying power, the feel and price.

MUA Wins!!

I really want to try a high end primer, but I'm not sure which I want yet! Any recommendations? Let me know!
